Landscape Design
Designing outdoor spaces that actually work in Austin’s unique climate.

“
Landscape Theory designs landscapes the same way good buildings are designed, starting with structure, flow, and long-term use.”
Good landscape design starts with how a space is used, not just how it looks. At Landscape Theory, we start by understanding how you move through your property, where you gather, and what feels missing or unresolved today. From there, we design outdoor environments that feel intuitive, purposeful, and deeply connected to the architecture of the home and the surrounding site.
Our process is collaborative and thoughtful, rooted in spatial planning, material relationships, and a strong understanding of Central Texas conditions. Planting plays an important role, but it’s never treated as decoration alone. We focus on structure, flow, and long-term performance, selecting native and climate-adapted plants that support resilience, sustainability, and manageable upkeep. The result is a landscape that settles in naturally and continues to grow with time.
