Our Philosophy

At the heart of our planting philosophy is a deep respect for the soil, and the life it supports. We use only organic fertilizers, choosing nature-based solutions over synthetic shortcuts to build lasting plant health from the ground up.
Throughout the year, we apply foliar sprays and liquid root drenches to encourage strong, resilient root systems. In spring and fall, slow-release granular fertilizers offer a gentle, consistent feed, never too much, never too fast.

Every new planting bed begins with a generous layer of organic compost, lovingly tilled into the soil to restore the vital nutrients our Austin soils often lack. We finish with a blanket of hardwood mulch, beautiful and practical, suppressing weeds while slowly returning organic matter to the earth as it breaks down.

It’s a slow, steady process. But great things grow in well-loved soil.
