Hill Country Hideaway

Located in the quaint town of Bee Cave in southwest Austin, this project balances beauty and practicality to thrive under the pressures of a deer-heavy environment. A carefully curated plant palette includes striking American agave as a centerpiece, complemented by silvery lamb’s ear and vibrant copper canyon and black-eyed daisies for texture and seasonal color.

Around the pool, a mix of screening shrubs and trees, including cypress and retama with delicate yellow blooms, provide privacy while maintaining a sense of openness. Rosemary encircles the spa, adding both fragrance and a lush, low-maintenance touch. Mexican feather grass softens the edges, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
